Be fore warned that we at UCANN2 are not attempting to pursue you either way, However, I believe you need to read and understand what this SOPA (Stop Online Privacy Act).
SOPA if passed can be enforced by the “REFUSE” signal on the DNS level, means, that you will have NO WAY to over ride this unless you decide the go back to modifing the hosts file. The hosts file is located on EVERY machine, including a Windows(r) machine. So Yes you can bypass this “REFUSE” signal on the DNS level if you wanted to do this for every site you can’t get to. But let’s be reallistic, WHO in their right or wrong mind would do that.
And if you think this is NOT a major control that the government wants, think about this, the Chinese government DOES keep outside countries from visiting some sites. Vist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_websites_blocked_in_the_People’s_Republic_of_China for a running list of these.
